Wind and Expansion Joints

Two days ago, we rode 70 miles into Saratoga, WY - a lovely town with a hot spring (smelly, and since an mini earthquake hit somewhere, way too hot to really enjoy), a lovely section of the Platte (which looks like it would be fun ducking/canoeing), a chill old-school ice cream parlor, and a decent campground by the lake (buggy, but there was enough wind to keep me happy). Terrain was dry with rolling hills and some large hills on either side of us. Pretty riding, but the roads weren't that great. Colorado was said to have some of the worst roads, and they did have plenty of expansion joints (aka really bumpy areas). Wyoming hasn't shown improvement, though, and my butt is a bit bruised. The wind's also been kickin, and while it's more variable than in Kansas, it's just as strong. Wasn't a bad day, all in all. A little asthma-y (5th day in a row), and didn't get much sleep since dad snored very loudly the entire night. Didn't set up well for the next day.
